We are enjoying the legacy created by some one. We didn’t plant the apple tree, nor we nurtured it; but we are enjoying the fruits of someone else’s creation. From timeless wisdom to modern technology, everything that we enjoy and benefit is someone else’s legacy. If we have the right to enjoy these legacies, then we also have the responsibility to create and leave behind a legacy. There are no rights with out responsibilities. It is up to us to live up to the legacy that was left for us, and to leave a legacy for those who will come after us.
The minimum I can do is to plant some trees and nurture them, so that the future generations can enjoy the fruits and bask in their shade.
. Every man has the responsibility to ask this question, ‘what can I add to this world that did not exist when I was born?’ it could be writing book, It could be creating breakthrough systems, it could be innovating a new business model, it could be causing the birth of a new culture- a new mind set, it could be transforming the life of village, it could be educating the masses…. it could be anything.
