When I die the world will inscribe on my tombstone the year of my birth and the year of my death separated by a dash. That dash is my life. What I did, how I lived, whose lives I touched, what I created, the legacy I leave behind… they all represent that dash. My purpose in life is to make that dash as meaningful and as memorable as possible. The best of legacies are innocent by-products of a life well lived. I will die, but the legacy I create and leave behind shall never die.
When I live for my today, I feel nice- a life of daily wages. When I live for tomorrow, I feel good- the category of monthly salaries. It is only when I live for what I can create for generations to come, I feel great. When the focus is to keep the torch burning and to pass it on to the generations to come, then the motivational levels are truly celestial.
